New Seedlings
Super excited to write my second Journal Entry! In this I will inform you on my experience in Utah and what I have been doing to prepare spiritually, mentally, and physically for YWAM. The last 3 weeks have been a great time for me to visit with friends and family before I leave for Hawaii. I am super excited to go, but I am also having a great time in Windom and traveling. Since the day I moved back to Windom from Morris, I have visited Colorado, Utah, Sioux Falls, and Vermillion. It has been a great way for me to connect with family like Morgan and Mackenzie in Colorado. Ayden in Utah. Clay, Mom, and Dad in Windom. Meadow in Sioux Falls, and Mia and her boyfriend (Rye) in Vermillion.
Utah
My first day in Utah started with a beautiful hike then some pickup basketball at the park with some of Aydens friends. (If you haven't read journal one Click Entry 1: Planting Seeds) The next day we climbed a beautiful waterfall. Ayden and I ascended up loose rocks, small cliffs, and slippery ledges to to see this beautiful view of the waterfall and back down where we came from in the pictures shown above. Ayden definitely clutched up by taking these dope pics. Later in the day we went to Salt Lake City. it was a super cool experience to go from the natural beauty of the mountains to the artistic expressions shown through the architecture in Salt Lake City. Later that night I would have a deep talk with Riley, (Aydens Friend) we talked about my plans with YWAM, God, the afterlife, and other deep topics. On the last day in Utah I went on a hike with Ayden, Riley, and Edwin (Ayden and Rileys Friend). While we were on this hike I was behind Riley and I just started praying for him, I prayed that the words I said to him the night before would be translated by God.
I prayed that the seeds of thoughts I planted would be nurtured and he would want to learn more about the Love of Christ. It was a beautiful surprise when we got back from the hike and he asked me how to sign up and raise money for YWAM. He told me he thought it would be interesting to look into the Bible and would love the experience YWAM entails. I was stoked to hear this and helped him sign up for the September 29th starting day. He recently texted me that it was too late to sign up but he said he may pursue a class in the next quarters such as January or April. I was so excited to hear that he wanted to attend YWAM and I am happy to see where his journey goes.
YWAM Preparation
The last couple weeks have been amazing getting to see some people I have not seen in awhile. Seeing family is a great way to remind me of my youth and encourage me with my YWAM endeavors. To prepare for YWAM I am trying to...
Workout 7 times a week
Eat a lot of protein (190 grams a day)
Overflow my spirit with the Bread of Life
Get good sleep (8-10 Hours a night)
Drink Water
Be Happy
I created this list on September 1st as a goal to help me prepare spiritually, mentally, and physically. I am a week in and have been feeling great. My workouts have consisted of stationary biking, lifting for hypertrophy, and stretching. (Tap to see todays workout recap IMG_5551 2.PNG.png) I am nursing a sore shoulder and am not sure why it is in pain but I am recovering using chiropractic prescribed movements, stretches, and prayer. if you would like, you could pray for a healthy recovery of my shoulder. I have already felt great improvement and strength gained in my shoulder and in the rest of my body. I have been writing poems of gratitude and praises as expressions from the overflow of my soul. These last 3 weeks have been great preparation for the uncertainty of the future and learning to trust that God will provide and show me my next step. Since I have returned to Windom I have received immense levels of support and donations. I am so grateful for everyone who has donated and shown love! All the donations go toward my funding for YWAM. I like to think of the money as not mine, it is just in my possession. It was provided by God and will be used for his Glory. Thank you again for all the support. leave a comment below with any input, suggestions, or questions!
