Entry 1: Planting Seeds

Published on 7 September 2022 at 08:18

Hello!! This is exciting! this is my first journal. In this I want to talk about my plans for this website in terms of how often I post and what the content will consist of. Like it says in the Home page this blog and website will be a form of expression, it is myself expressed through poetry, visual media, art, the design of the website and the words typed in each journal...

If I achieve one thing with this website, I hope it is that the content consists of my true genuine self. I am so excited to start something new and go out of my comfort zone. I thought it would be beneficial to create the website and start journaling before I arrive in Hawaii, after all, this website was created to be a way for my supporters to stay in touch and see firsthand what I am experiencing and learning. I have already had spiritual encounters before I have even started YWAM, by telling others my plans for this fall. Just by me telling people I am going to YWAM it has opened up an easy way to talk about spirituality and my faith with friends and strangers. If you want to read more about what I am doing with YWAM.     Last week I was in Colorado helping my family with my brother's rental business. https://www.thunderstruckadventures.com/ After a couple days in Steamboat Springs I went 5 hours west to Provo, Utah to visit a friend (Ayden) who moved out to Utah from Morris instead of going to college. I spent 4 days in one of the most beautiful mountain towns that I have been to and had a great time with Ayden and his friends. The picture above is the view from the end of a hike we went on. In the next journal I will go deeper about my experience in Utah and how I saw God Nurture a seed that I helped plant.

This is the first website and public journal I have created so I expect to learn as I go. That means there may be changes to the website format and posting schedule often. I will also have to adapt to my YWAM schedule when I go to Kona. As of now I plan to post around two journals, one poem, and a couple pictures a week. I am super excited to see where this goes and how God uses it. Thank you to all my supporters and people praying for me. Tune in for journal #2 to hear about My Utah Trip and how I am preparing for YWAM.
